- 1 lb lean ground hamburger
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until golden brown.
- Add ground hamburger and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and beef broth; bring to a gentle boil.
- Mix in broken lasagna noodles along with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 10-12 minutes until noodles are tender.
- Serve hot in bowls topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
