- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper (add optional spices if desired).
- Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture until thoroughly coated.
- Heat oil in a skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
- Fry chicken pieces for 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
