  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth, then stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the flour until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with remaining sugar and egg until creamy.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spread the cheesecake mixture over it, then dollop the remaining brownie batter on top. Swirl gently for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Allow cooling before slicing into squares.
