- 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients; slice onions and mince garlic.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; place in slow cooker or Instant Pot.
- Layer sliced onions over chicken and top with minced garlic.
- In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, cider vinegar, and brown sugar until combined; pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for approximately 6 hours in a slow cooker or high pressure for 10 minutes in an Instant Pot.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and serve with extra sauce.
