  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil and sauté onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  2. Increase heat and add ground beef, breaking it apart as it browns for about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Stir in sliced mushrooms, salt, and pepper; cook until mushrooms are soft.
  4. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth; stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in sour cream until combined. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
