- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)
- 2 cups milk (for gravy)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and roll out to about 1-inch thick. Cut into rounds.
- Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- For the gravy, cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Sprinkle with flour, mix well, then gradually stir in milk until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm by splitting open biscuits and pouring gravy over them.
