- 2 tablespoons black tea leaves (Assam or Darjeeling)
- 2 cups water

- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 cardamom pods
- 3 slices fresh ginger
- 1 clove
- Sugar or sweetener to taste
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add spices: 2 cinnamon sticks, 3 crushed cardamom pods, and 3 slices of ginger. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in black tea leaves (or tea bags) and steep for an additional 5 minutes.
- Pour in 1 cup of milk (or non-dairy option) and heat gently without boiling.
- Strain out the solids and sweeten to taste before serving hot.
