Instructions
- 1. Marinate chicken: In a bowl, combine yogurt, minced garlic, ginger, and garam masala. Add cubed chicken and coat well. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2. Sear the chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken in batches until golden brown on all sides (5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
- 3. Create the sauce: In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 4. Add creaminess: Stir in coconut milk or cream and blend until smooth (3-5 minutes).
- 5. Combine chicken and sauce: Return seared chicken to the skillet and simmer together for 10-15 minutes.
- 6. Serve hot over rice or with naan, garnished with fresh cilantro.
