- 1 cup raw or lightly toasted sesame seeds

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread sesame seeds on a baking sheet and toast for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and bring to a gentle boil; simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- In a bowl, mix toasted sesame seeds with vanilla extract. Gradually add warm sugar syrup while stirring until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a lined mold, pressing down firmly with parchment paper on top to create an even surface.
- Let cool at room temperature for about 2 hours or refrigerate until firm before slicing.
