Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 medium lemons)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and melt half of the butter.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. In the same skillet, lower the heat, add remaining butter and minced garlic, sauté for one minute.
- Pour in lemon juice and zest, stir well to combine.
- Pour the lemon butter sauce over the chicken in the baking dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let rest for five minutes before serving.
