  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 medium lemons)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and melt half of the butter.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. In the same skillet, lower the heat, add remaining butter and minced garlic, sauté for one minute.
  4. Pour in lemon juice and zest, stir well to combine.
  5. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the chicken in the baking dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
