Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pot; cook until onions are translucent.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute to release flavors.
- Add crushed tomatoes and kidney beans; stir well to combine.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low; let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
