- 2 cups whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together milk and sugar until dissolved; do not boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in bloomed gelatin and vanilla until fully dissolved.
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for about 1 hour until slightly thickened.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold into the cooled mixture.
- Transfer to a mold or serving dish and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.
