Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh hazelnuts
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup milk chocolate (for coating)
  • 1 cup wafer cookies (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and roast the hazelnuts on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow them to cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix the roasted hazelnuts with Nutella until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on parchment paper.
  4. Crush the wafer cookies into fine crumbs and roll each truffle in the crumbs to coat thoroughly.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate in short bursts in the microwave, then dip each truffle until fully coated, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  6. Let the truffles cool completely before serving or storing.
