Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm milk with yeast and a teaspoon of sugar; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough, cut into circles, layer with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Stack like pancakes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
