Instructions
- Gather all ingredients on your countertop.
- In a bowl, whisk together apple cider, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually fold wet ingredients into dry until just combined (avoid overmixing).
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to about 365°F (185°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown (1-2 minutes per side).
- Toss warm donuts in cinnamon sugar immediately after frying.
