Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugar with vegetable oil until blended. Add eggs one at a time, followed by buttermilk and blue food coloring until smooth.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks. Once cool, frost generously with cream cheese frosting.
