Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- For the brownie layer, melt butter and mix with granulated sugar until smooth. Stir in cocoa powder, then add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.
- For the cookie layer, cream together softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in an egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda, gradually adding to the wet mixture. Gently fold in additional chocolate chips.
- Layer the brownie batter first in the dish, followed by dollops of cookie dough on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly soft. Allow to cool before slicing.
