- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until glossy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
