- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for glazing)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef and breadcrumbs.
- Add finely chopped onions and eggs; mix until just combined.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Shape the mixture into an oval loaf on a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, mustard, and additional ketchup for the glaze; spread over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
