- 8 slices thick-cut bread (Texas toast preferred)
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for frying)
- Maple syrup (for serving)
Instructions
- Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin.
- In a bowl, blend softened cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. Spread on each flattened slice.
- Roll up tightly from one end to the other and seal edges.
- Whisk together eggs and milk in another bowl; dip each roll into the mixture.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry rolls for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve warm with maple syrup.
