- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Add spaghetti or fettuccine and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
- Sauté garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Make the sauce: Lower the heat and add butter until melted, then stir in parmesan cheese until creamy.
- Combine: Drain pasta, reserving some water. Toss pasta into the skillet with the sauce, adding reserved water if needed for consistency.
- Season and serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and enjoy!
