  • 200g kunafa noodles
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 250g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 1 tsp rose water or orange blossom water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. Melt half the butter and evenly coat the kunafa noodles.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta and mozzarella cheeses until smooth.
  4. Layer half of the buttered noodles in the baking dish, followed by the cheese mixture, then top with remaining noodles.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Prepare syrup by boiling sugar and water until dissolved; add rose water.
  7. Drizzle syrup over hot Kunafa before serving.
