Ingredients
- 200g kunafa noodles
- 100g unsalted butter
- 250g ricotta cheese
- 250g shredded mozzarella cheese
- 150g granulated sugar
- 200ml water
- 1 tsp rose water or orange blossom water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Melt half the butter and evenly coat the kunafa noodles.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta and mozzarella cheeses until smooth.
- Layer half of the buttered noodles in the baking dish, followed by the cheese mixture, then top with remaining noodles.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare syrup by boiling sugar and water until dissolved; add rose water.
- Drizzle syrup over hot Kunafa before serving.
