Instructions
- Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente; drain well.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add milk while whisking until thickened.
- Remove from heat and mix in cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Combine cooked macaroni with cheese sauce until evenly coated; allow to cool slightly.
- Shape tablespoon-sized amounts into balls or bites and roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
