- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 3/4 cup finely chopped fresh strawberries
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in chopped strawberries.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, pressing a dollop of cream cheese filling into each mound before covering with more dough.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden while centers stay soft. Let cool on racks.
