  • 4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
  • 1 cup halal cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until golden.
  4. Add the ground meat and cook until browned. Mix in cooked rice, spices, tomato sauce, and half of the cheese.
  5. Stuff each pepper with the filling and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Place peppers upright in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to melt cheese.
