- 4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
- 1 cup halal cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until golden.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned. Mix in cooked rice, spices, tomato sauce, and half of the cheese.
- Stuff each pepper with the filling and top with remaining cheese.
- Place peppers upright in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to melt cheese.
