Ingredients
- 1 Ribeye or Sirloin Steak (about 8 oz)
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 cloves Fresh Garlic (minced)
- 2 sprigs Fresh Thyme or Rosemary
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Remove the steak from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Pat the steak dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Sear the steak for about 4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip.
- Add butter, minced garlic, and herbs to the skillet; baste the steak with melted butter for another 3–4 minutes until desired doneness.
- Transfer to a cutting board, cover loosely with foil, and rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
