- 1 lb sea scallops
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season both sides with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add scallops to the skillet without overcrowding; cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and opaque.
- Add butter and minced garlic after flipping; baste scallops with melted butter as they finish cooking.
- Just before removing from heat, squeeze fresh lemon juice over scallops and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately alongside your favorite side dishes or as an appetizer.
