- 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
- 14 oz smoked sausage or Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- Red pepper flakes (to taste)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces and slice the onion. Mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced sausage until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add onions and sauté until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add chopped cabbage and minced garlic; stir-fry until cabbage wilts down (8-10 minutes).
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
- Return the sausage to the skillet; mix well until everything is heated through.
