- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2–3 jalapeños, sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients. Slice jalapeños, removing seeds if desired.
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese with shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeños until well combined.
- Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
- Spread the cheesy jalapeño mixture on top, then cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, slice in half, and serve.
